In former times the Obergruberhof belonged to the monastery Säben at Klausen. After buying it from the monastery the farm has been run since many generations by the Thaler family.
Earlier just a small path led to the farm. It could be reached only by foot or horse. Livestock breeding and farming were the base of self supply.
The numerous children were home-schooled at the farm. Many years later the first tractor could be bought after the street was built. In 2009 our farm was awarded the title of “Erbhof”. This title honors families who have run a farm for more than 200 years over several generations.
