The Obergruberhof is a perfect starting point for easy but also challenging hiking and mountain biking tours. The trail head is only 3 km above the farm at parking Kaseregg reached by car in 10 minutes. Destinations are Jochalm Käserei, Stöfflhütte, Mair in Plun, Rinderplatz, Latzfonser Kreuz, Ritzlar Spitze, Kassianspitze, Sam Spitze, Lorenzispitze, Toten Kirchl, Villanderer Alm, Getrumalm, Plankenhorn and Villanderer Berg.
In the village of Latzfons are a bakery, a butchery and a supermarket. Shopping is also nice in the historical city of Klausen or in the beautiful city of Brixen. Restaurants and Pizzerias are in Latzfons and nearby villages.
